Packing and Storage Update

Ralph couldn't resist checking out this bookcase!

Our boys dismantled the bookshelf.

Ralph, managing supervisor,  reporting for duty!

These two will be spending the next two years together. They're all tucked in on the couch.
They even have foam swords to defend themselves, should the need arise!

One Month to Go!

It's amazing how quickly, yet slowly time goes. Only one month to go until our big move.

We have kept busy with packing/sorting through things and visiting with family who live two states away.

Ralph thinks he owns anything and everything in our house. He fell into the wardrobe box!

Time with family! All we seem to do is eat!

Boba!

Costco pizza! I love how they made room for all the kids (it's a four seat table)!!

Yummy chicken!!

Feeding the chicken chicken?!!

They are a fun bunch!

Delicious BBQ!

The Serious Packing has Begun!

Our "serious" packing has begun as we have officially gotten a storage space for our stuff that's not going with us to Japan. We have also reserved our seats for a flight on July 31. Things are getting real!!!

This is our first load to go over to the storage space. It's mostly books and it looked like a really big pile in our house....
We may have a few books....or maybe 1,000! This isn't even all of them and we have donated quite a bit to the library as well.

Our first load in our storage unit. It looks so small in such an empty space!

We're living our lives as usual with school and work, but trying to pack up things we want to go to storage, give away things we don't need anymore, and organize what we want to keep out that will eventually be shipped to Japan. Here are a few pictures I have taken of the chaos.

Diamond is under the impression that we're making him beds with our boxes.

I must make sure all the boxes are safe...

It seemed Ralph wanted to get in on the box fun.

He did get into the give away pile. That's a DVD holder.

I forgot to mention I crochet. Last weekend I organized my yarn stash. I may have a problem. 😂🤣 I am planning to take all my yarn, but not sure if it is feasible. My sister "volunteered as tribute" to take care of said yarn "while I move around the world." Oh what a sacrifice, ha!
Papa P answered more questions this week regarding our move and is working on making sure we have all the documents in order for our visas. We may end up taking a road trip to our nearest embassy which is four or so hours away.

Simple Japanese Cooking

One of my friends asked me to share easy Japanese cooking, so here it is! I have bought all of these in Asian markets in the States. They wi...
